RUTHERFORD, N.J., Apr 12, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AXS-One Inc. (AMEX:AXO), a leading provider of e-business solutions, today announced that its Tivity division was recently featured in an End-User Research Study on Professional Services Automation (PSA) by Aberdeen Group, a top IT market and positioning services firm.
Aberdeen reviewed the offerings of nine vendors in the PSA space, and concluded that Tivity was well positioned as a best-of-breed supplier of financial management PSA solutions to services-based organizations. This market is recognized by most industry analysts to be approaching $1 Billion per year.
According to Aberdeen, services organizations are increasingly adopting PSA solutions, with approximately 1.5 million individual users through Q3 2001. The survey was designed to understand the true value proposition of PSA, and generate comparative statistics on how individual solutions are being received in the marketplace.
In its discussions with Tivity end-users, Aberdeen found that the group's focus on the financial management aspect of PSA offers solid benefits to services organizations that require strong financial support, such as improved management effectiveness and invoicing.
Tivity received the highest ratings for deployment cost, and its ability to manage costs. The solution also had high marks in the critical areas of availability and reliability, as well as flexibility to address specific business needs.
In its report, Aberdeen noted that Tivity has succeeded in developing valuable solutions offerings in the emerging PSA marketplace. Praising the continued evolution of the Tivity(TM) suite in recent years, Aberdeen noted that our company is positioned to be a leader in delivering strong PSA functionality to support financial management for services organizations.
According to David R. Hofferberth, P.E., Research Director, Professional Services Automation, "Tivity offers customers a rich, best-of-breed financial management PSA solution. It has also had significant success in integrating other AXS-One offerings, particularly in e-commerce areas."
"Our customers have always known that the Tivity solutions help them effectively automate and integrate their business processes, and achieve real benefits in efficiency, productivity and profitability," commented John Rade, President and CEO of AXS-One, Tivity's parent company. "However, getting industry recognition from a prestigious firm like Aberdeen, coupled with the recent Best of AIIM award for Content Management and Transform Magazine's Award for Best of AIIM for Web Services, tells us that our message is getting through to a much wider audience of opinion shapers and reporters, and is an independent testament to the strength of our offerings."
